Read MoreDo You Have Your “Two-Minute Spiel”?
Back in my racing business days, I traveled to many race tracks to promote our head restraints and driver safety systems. Upon arrival, I would load my back pack with flyers, business cards and catalogs while carrying one of our most current devices and trek through the pits to deliver my “two-minute spiel” to the drivers and their crews. I found out that giving a professional presentation in a structured setting is a little different. I realized over time it would be advantageous to take a “public speaking” workshop. As you may have seen on our U Agenda last week, I’m proud to say The...
Read MoreGoing For The Gold?
Did you watch the XXX Olympiad Games in London? Did you notice how determined the athletes were in going for the Gold or how much hard work they put in to get where they were? As I’ve mentioned before, determination and hard work are my two favorite ingredients to achieving a goal or going for the Gold. I’ve also talked about how “U” are your best investment. Consider how these athletes got to this point in their pursuit of gold and you will find a common thread. They all invested in their coaches. Just like athletes look to a coach for training and expertise, coaches play many roles...
Read MoreLooking For Business Facebook Page Tips?
For those of you who have a Facebook Page for your business, here’s something you may not know. Did you know you login in as your business page? What does this mean? It means you can like other businesses as your business page and you can post on those businesses’ pages as your business page profile. For example, when I login to Facebook, I simply go up to the right hand corner of my screen and use Facebook as my business page; and, when I’m done, I can just switch back to my personal profile. By using Facebook as your business page, you can follow pertinent businesses and create more...
